Delaney Williams Harris was born in Chattanooga. Tn on January 18, 1952. Delaney Williams Harris, 57, passed on Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at a local hospital. She attended Riverside and Central High Schools. She was preceded in death by: father, Leroy Williams Sr.; brother, Leroy Williams Jr. Surviving family: daughter, Erin Chanel Harris; sons, James Lee Harris III and Emmanuel Jackson; grandsons, Jordan Harris and Jaylin Diefendorfer; mother, Bernice Williams; sisters, Yvonne (Warren) Lemon, Charlotte Cosby, Deborah Moore and Della Darby; brother, Alfred Williams; a beloved niece, Dana (Micah) Carroll; uncles, Carl Williams, Chattanooga and William Henderson, Alexandria, Va.; aunt, Jean Howard, Indiana. A host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 12, at 1 p.m. at Thankful Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Oscar Lockhart officiating. Interment in Lakewood East. She is much loved and will always be remembered by all her friends and family.
